In many countries there are different names for different foods in our country we have our own in the Maori language. Some being Panana, Kumara, and many more. But today we are going to be talking about the traditional gathering and harvesting of Kai.
For example (the Hangi) It is very traditional for the Maori culture, Say when you are having a gathering with Whanau you can have a Hangi. It usually includes pumpkin, potato, watercress, pork bones, and much more. Another tradition is a boil up also used for a gathering ( I usually do have one on Christmas, It feeds many which is why it is most commanly used for gathering for the Maori culture.
